Berkhamsted Art Society organises an annual programme of demonstrations, talks, drawing evenings and workshops.
Demonstrations and Talks
Demonstrations by well known artists in various media and talks on art-related subjects take place monthly between September and April. These meetings are held at the Civic Centre, Berkhamsted and are open to all. A small entrance charge of £2.00 is made for non-members.

Winter Drawing Evenings
During the winter months, we organise informal drawing evenings with professional models for members to draw or paint. Winter drawing evenings are for Members only and are held in the Court House, Berkhamsted.
Saturday Workshops
We run 3 or 4 one-day Saturday workshops for members. These are led by professional tutors and in the past have covered oils, watercolour and mixed media.
Places are for Members only and are limited.
Exhibitions of Members' Work
The Society holds exhibitions of members' work annually in May and December at the Civic Centre, Berkhamsted to which the public are invited. Over 400 items are on display and for sale, including framed and unframed pictures, pottery and woodcraft.
Entry to the exhibition is free. A catalogue of exhibits is available for which a small charge is made.


Summer Outdoor Drawing Evenings
During the summer months, we organise informal outdoor sketching and painting sessions on Monday evenings. These are held locally at various locations (weather permitting).
